Cooper 500’s are a competition car rarely seen at New Zealand Motorsport events these days. One 500, chassis number MkV/12/51, which does make infrequent appearances has a long and varied history going back to 1951 when it left Cooper’s factory in Surbiton destined for a Buckinghamshire farmer, Derek Annable, who was one of Stirling Moss’ mentors.
